Time to Start BUYING!!!! WOO
«

I got a Job, I'm making money, and I want to extend my rig!! Woohooo!!
Anyhow, before I start finalizing, (I have played MOST of these pedals) it would be of great help if you all look over my choices and add some suggestions/commentary/replacements/reorder.
Here it is
Guitar(Kramer Striker 424cm/Gibson SG Special/Gibson LP Studio [Haven't decided yet])->
BOSS TU-12 Tuner
->Crybaby Original Wah->Digitech Bad Monkey OD->EH Metal Muff->MXR 6 Band EQ->Peevey Valveking 112 Combo->(Loop Send)->BOSS DD-3 Delay->
EVH Flanger
->
MXR Phase 90
->BOSS OC-3 Super Octave->(Loop Ret)
{All powered by a T-Rex Fuel Tank [except Flanger I have a separate plug cause its 18v]}
That's kind of a lot, might take me a couple of months to build this up
so I'll keep you guys updated.
Bold are the ones I have
Edit: Took out the Big Muff Pi w/ Tone Wicker and Changed Valveking Half-Stack to 112 Combo
Keep Rockin

I dont know if you would need the metal muff, and the big muff.
Also octave pedal should come first in the line up, but thats not really a buying suggestion.

I don't know if you'd need three distortion-based pedals going into the Valveking. It has pretty good gain on its own, really. It's its clean tone that's lacking, from my experience...

That's a matter of opinion. I
like
my Gibson and it has nothing to do with the name...
It might be that I've had it for years and years and it has been really well played-in, or it could just actually be good...who knows?

If you do get a Gibson SG Special, i'd consider one of the "faded" models. They're the same guitar with a slightly different finish for like $200 less.

Didn't BT post something about this ages ago? How they actually aren't?
I forget...

I don't think so, I just found this.

The Studio models are really good guitars and in a blindfold test, i bet that even a hard core "LP Custom shop gear snob" wouldn't be able to tell the difference. In fact, sometimes I forget which one i'm playing (I have a LP Classic and a studio model as well)
The big difference with the Studio and the regular LP Standard/Classic/Traditional is: binding and pickups.
Of course, of these two features, only the pickups make a difference in how the guitar sounds.
You can swap out the pickups if you want, and if you
really really
had to, you could put binding on as well but it would be expensive and like i said, it won't make the guitar sound or play any better. Two good new pickups will run you about $200 and you will be in the ballpark tone-wise!
The 'faded' models, like the Studio series are a more budget minded model, the expense of doing a full shiny finish is spared and the guitar has a thin, un-glossy finish. They sound great, feel great, and play great.
With LPs, you really don't get much different of a guitar until you get to the 'Historic' series which have some construction methods from the 50's
You really can't go wrong with an LP Studio or Faded series, they are fine guitars

Just for the record, I did not say that Gibson LPs are bad guitars. What I meant was that for the same price there are many guitars that are better than Gibson LPs. I am not questioning Gibson's quality, I am questioning Gibson's value.

Using George Ls to connect the pedals on my board, how close can I get them next to each other? Is it under an inch? (.115 cable btw.)

But

Oh and thanks Apo, I obviously misremembered.

Heres the new Setup, added a cathedral, cause i think their awesome (But hella expensive!), and i want a reverb. And i think it would be cool to have the octave in between the two drives, so I can have a nice, clean bass backtone or a distorted bass backtone.
Kramer Striker 424cm->BOSS TU-12 Tuner->Ernie Ball Volume Pedal->Crybaby Original Wah->Digitech Bad Monkey OD->EH Metal Muff->BOSS OC-3 Super Octave->EH Big Muff->MXR 6 Band EQ->Peevey Valveking 112 Combo->(Loop Send)->EH Cathedral->BOSS DD-3 Delay->EVH Flanger->MXR Phase 90->(Loop Ret)
Check it out
i think this will be pretty fun.
Edit:
Added Ernie Ball Volume pedal

Try out any guitar before you buy it.
Also, leave your options semi open, and buy used, slowly. Youll end up spending significantly less. On craigslist Ive seen pedals that are almost being given away (theres a metal muff for $50 in my town), and they pop up for even less all the time.
You just need patience.
