Well, to be fair, I don't think they would ship something from location to location (I know they don't over here).
The courier isn't gonna pick the box up at your house, read the label, and say "Hey! That's just a few hours away. I'll take it there right now."
He's gotta finish his route, pick up (and drop off) all the other packages, then they probably go back to some sort of sorting warehouse.

That was my point. There are courier services that do one package at a time. Kind of like a taxi for packages. Then there's UPS, where it first has to go to a hub to be reshipped.

All the ones i get are idiots. All the people that run the companies are idiots too, the managers will do anything to weasel out of actually giving you answers, they are all incompetent. And just don't do what you pay them. I pay for 24 hour delivery, how does it take 5 days? I pay for them to come to my house, why do they give up when my house is slightly hard to find, and expect me to collect it from their depot.

You know, this can generally be avoided if you go to a shop and buy an amp in person.  Roll Eyes

and pay the huge markup? Dont gotta car, or any local shops, cant lug a big amp back on the train from london. Where il pay £400.

In england we don't have guitar centres every corner, we only got mom and pop places and the few big warehouse stores, which are in the midlands and up north. Not near me.

Funny, considering Britain is where most of the amp voodoo got started. You sorry bastids.

Get a car. Get a goat. Hitch a ride on a horse and buggy.

What we're saying is, this KEEPS happening to you. You can't force the courier system to change, you can't force shops to conduct better business. But you CAN get yourself a car and stop having to deal with so many incompetent middle men.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results.

If you contracted for 24 hr delivery then, depending on the fine print, the courier may be in breach of contract. It should not be too hard to negotiate at least a partial refund. Don't attempt to negotiate anything with whoever answers the phone. Don't even tell them the nature of the call. Get a manager, then ask for his supervisor.

Those of us without a vehicle will usually try to avoid becoming a pest to those with one. It becomes habit to avoid asking for help.
