So, amp went back wednesday. Supposed to be checked in thursday, new one sent out friday.
THE SHOP ONLY JUST TODAY GOT THE OLD AMP BACK.
WHY ARE COURIERS THE LOWEST FORM OF HUMAN ALIVE.
WHY IS IT SO HARD TO DO WHAT YOU ARE PAID TO DO.
YOU DONT HAVE A HARD JOB. DRIVE ITEM "X" TO PERSON "Y"
WHY DID IT TAKE 5 DAYS TO GET THE ITEM BACK TO A SHOP ONLY A FEW HOURS FROM MY HOUSE.
Seriously. Now i gotta wait till wednesday before i get my amp again.
WTF IS UP WITH THIS CONSTANT BAD AMP LUCK.

No, not couriers. You're thinking of fast food service workers.

Because its
work
. If work were fun and easy then we'd pay our employers to let us do it.

I don't think it works exactly like that. Don't forget that there are about 224351432 other people trying to send packages that day too. Not to mention that your particular package isn't exactly tiny.

Call the courier service and ask them. There's nothing wrong with displaying your dissatisfaction with a service that
you
paid for.

The terms must be different there. Here, 'courier' and 'shipper' are not generally used interchangeably. Although UPS and FedEx are technically couriers we don't usually call them that. 'Courier' usually implies individualization of services and committed delivery times.

Why cant i just expect people to do what they are paid to do, and what i paid a huge amount of money for them to do.
Still gots my vox, although i think the tubes are dying. But its the principle.
And i have been waiting all summer for this. And at least 50% of the time i order something from a courier, they dont do their jobs properly. They are never on time. Most cant be bothered to find my house, and simply state i was not in. They mishandle goods. mix up things. One had the cheek to ask me to come out and grab the heavy package from his van because he "had a bad back". Every every time its always something. Just doing their job is never enough.
And this time its parcel force, who are THE worst guys. They have no phone number where you can speak to a human. No way of actually making a complaint that will get heard. They are insulting.
Whats happened with this whole ongoing amp business is a series of failings, where people just can't do their jobs properly. Shops can't check items, couriers cant find houses, depots can organize items etc etc etc. And it just keeps happening.

We usually buy amps "In person"... Eliminating the wait and the dissatisfaction of the "couriers"... That AFTER carefully testing the amp in the store to make sure there are No bad switches / etc.
Dry business this , but a pint after makes it all worth the trip...

Parcelforce are bad news, I find citylink are good though.
This is why investing in a driving licence and thusly being able to take stuff from one place to another is SICK.

Hey i dont work there anymore. I got no need to now. Student loan and my savings have got me good for money for the next 3 years. Besides, i only need money really for gear, and i got all the gear i pretty much need now. Gonna grab one of these at some point
£135, wilkinson locking tuners, matched pickups, synchronised tremolo

Well, to be fair, I don't think they would ship something from location to location (I know they don't over here).
The courier isn't gonna pick the box up at your house, read the label, and say "Hey! That's just a few hours away. I'll take it there right now."
He's gotta finish his route, pick up (and drop off) all the other packages, then they probably go back to some sort of sorting warehouse.

Lowest life forms
How about Bankers, politicians , real estate developers, CEOs, indifferent corporations ,Polluters, anything Miley Cyrus, inefficient bartenders..
... plenty waaaay above on the list that the common couriers , on this side of the pond anyway ... I make friends of mine and they go out of their way to deliver in a prompt and courteous manner ...
