Now that the cooler weather is upon us ... finally ...   Noticed my guitars necks all seem to be very flat , no relief , and strings buzzing ... grrrrrrr!!!!  Time to get out the truss rod wrench and make some Winter adjustments ...
Just like to mention the best way of TR adjusting ....  Most people just put a wrench on it and turn away ..   This puts a lot of stress on the rod and adjustment nut Shocked ...  We've found over the years , that it's better to put some (LIGHT) pressure on the neck with your hand and with the headstock supported , actually bend the neck in the direction you want it to go , and then turn the nut to "catch up"  with the bend , greatly reducing pressure on the TR nut and area...
And every several years , remove the adjusting nut if you can and put a little grease on the threads ...   We have many old guitars , that treated this way, still play well and have the original TR hardware ...  A little proper maintenance goes a long way ...  Just FYI

I guess it depends on what type of truss rod it is. Mine has double action and I haven't had to readjust mine but I do had to retune. I probably have a bit of relief that it doesn't actually flatten out.

Actually I haven't noticed any real difference to my action just yet..
Though when the day comes I notice it, I shall bear in mind to use this technique.
Thanks for the info!  Rawk3

The temp went from the mid 90s here to the mid 70s ... I think my wood shrunk ...  Shocked Facepalm

Also I'm a guitar leaner  Embarrassed, and temporarily lean guitars up against the wall , cabinets , ect. and sometimes I notice the neck has either   too much or too little relief depending how I leaned it ...face towards the wall ... too little (neck straightens out ) , or face out = too much relief  (neck bends )...   Not a good practice (my Bad)   but in that case I just lean the guitar in the opposite direction for a while and everything is OK ... No use adjusting the TR , because once you play it a while everything will go back to the normal setting /position .... Just FYI..   Best store the guitar in a proper case... avoid this silliness ...
