Dudes !!!  Although I'm not in favor of "modeling " amps , a good friend and guitar amp wizard , told me about a new Fender amp that has some really good "simulated tube" sounds and you can plug it into your computer to tweek the models ... Supposedly like 100USD ..  Sounds like a pretty cool deal for a "bedroom/practice amp "  ..  You guys heard about this Huh

Is he talking about the Fender Mustang amps?

Looks like at least as good as most other modeling amps. I'm still partial to the cube because I know what to expect, though.

The Vypyr is as good if not better at low volumes but when you crank it it sounds like ass.

AK , Yep , that's the one ....   I guess it helps to have one of the rare Strats with THAT Tone !  Roll Eyes   (you tube demo)
I've got a few small 3SB practice amps , my current favorite being the Vox DA5... but this does look interesting...  and for my friend who is a solid TUBE amp supporter/advocate/Guru , his positive comments about this are quite unexpected...  Shocked

when i bought my cube i compared it with the fender Gdec, and the marshall MG30FX. i thought the cube had the best overall sound, followed by the fender.  however, the fender was a little more complicated than i really wanted, and didn't sound quite as good as the rolnad. just my opinion, but i did compare them as recently as july.
