You can put a 9v battery in it. You have to unscrew the back and theeres the wire in there.

I wouldn't if I were you. Be safe and buy one straight from EHX or buy the Boss PSA adapter they sell. Never screw with correct amounts of power and whatnot, could fry your pedal.

Amen. I fried my tuner trying to use my tube king adapter on it. Facepalm

The Godlyke or One Spot power supplies should have you covered.

Dang Chris, that sucks. Hope it was a cheap tuner (though somehow I know it wasn't).

But yeah, the One Spot is a great product as far as adapters go. I use a dedicated pedalboard power supply so adapters are never something I need. I use a Pedal Power 2+ and it keeps everything nice and quite with lost of features and room to plug in! Love it. For now though, since you don't have many pedals just get a single adapter, that should do nicely.

Its was a $40 GFS tuner. Not expensive, but a $40 Id rather not have to re spend. I guess it goes to show, just because the end is the same, doesnt mean you should try it. Facepalm

Nobody's going to say anything about milliamp ratings?

I was hoping to learn something.

There are 4 things you need to have right.

1. Proper voltage  - most pedals run at 9v, though some need more juice than that. Usually, you can run a normal pedal off of 9.6v too.
2. Proper Current - DC or AC - most are DC
3. Proper barrel polarity  - e.g. tip; positve, shaft; negative, or reverse of that
4. Enough amperes - A or mA (for milliamp) - As long as you have more mA than the pedal draws (which usually isn't much), you're fine. When daisy-chaining, you have to add the draw of each pedal.
You should be able to find all this information in the manual (don't have one? Google is your friend).

I've got a couple of these: http://accessories.musiciansfriend.com/product/Electro-Harmonix-US96DC200BI-9VDC-Guitar-Effects-Power-Supply?sku=150487&rec=product_A
They work for each one of my pedals, and my midi controller (keyboard). It's also the recommendation for the metal muff. I would get one if I were you. $10 is nothing compared to the cost of batteries after a year.

is it me, or do pedals sound totally different with an adapter? I had a death metal pedal some while ago with an adaptor. I tried it with a battery once so I could use the adaptor for something else and the pedal sounded way better...
