So I put this in my cart on Rondomusic, http://www.rondomusic.com/furrianmnvgn.html
And when I went to check out, I find this underneath.

Quote
Customers ordering guitars outside the 48 states are required to order a hard case and must provide a phone number

Why do you think this is? If it's for protection, wouldn't they put it in a padded box? I don't see why, and the cheapest one that fits the tele is $100, found one for $50 but can't find it again.

Help pl0x?  Tongue

no its so they can rip you off.

Thats how rondo get you, cheap good guitars but the smallprint is a bitch

For international orders they charge shipping thats more than the guitars, you have to buy a case, they provide NO guarantee, NO returns, NO insurance NO nothing. you get a broken guitar, tough, you get the wrong guitar, tough, you get no guitar, tough, plus they have no cover on customs and taxes at all. a £100 guitar will end up costing at least £3-400 and thats with absolutely no guarantee at all.

I wouldnt call it a scam per say, I would just say they dont really want to do international business.

They leave the option open, but dont make it very desirable.

There shipping charges are rather inflated though. Sad

Oh yeah. Its WAY easier to pack a guitar in a case, than without. With a cas you can just wrap cardboard around the case, but with you have to WAY overbox it.

yeah, I emailed him about it and he said that it'd be better if I ordered from somewhere else,

If only I could find a tele with that colour,  Tongue
