So i got £1000 from the now £2500 my assmaster father owes me yesterday

for a while now i have seriously been pondering warmothing a jazzmaster

so today i did it Cheesy

i have so far spent £300 on the body, pickguard and hardware. Getting my neck from WD music. Other parts will be decided once i got my body and neck. All other details are top secret. will reveal more later  Cheesy Cheesy

Im allocating the entire £1000 to this guitar. Its going to be the best guitar in the world when its done, mark my words.

My favorite les paul cost me £35. All my personal favorite guitars cost virtually nothing. The only really really high quality (and reliable) guitar is my   american standard telecaster. Now i'm starting to actually play proper shows and play in good bands, i need guitars that can keep up. My cheapy strat for instance is perfect when im playing on my own or playing my own songs (very very simple) but i have taken it to my other band a few times and i just can't keep up on it. Plus i have the cash, im never gonna have an opportunity like this again, so im gonna go all out and build the best damn guitar in the world.  Cheesy

i wish you the best of luck with it  Wink i thought my gibson les paul was my most reliable, then at a gig one time it decided to cut out on me (ended up being an easy fix with the jack plug) but since it was brand new, i didnt fancy my chances with it at shows again  Roll Eyes

May I suggest a mustang bridge, as the Jazzmaster and Jaguar bridge is known for buzzing. I speak with Jaguar experience

Good call.
I don't want to change my bridge for authentical reasons. It's made in 1968, and all parts are original. I'd rather try to fix it.

Have you considered matching head stock?

yea, it doesn't work with the colour or the fretboard.
