My EHX Freeze came in today and I've been having a little play with it. It is very cool. I did have worries that if it was literally picking a nanosecond of sound to loop that it would be a very dull, dry sound. But it's not. It picks up just enough to keep a live sound. It would be really nice if you could crank the release. Even to slow release setting lets it go a little fast. Fortunately, my unique playing style allows me to just roll off the effect volume for a more controlled release.

Sounds wicked.  How much did you pay for it Jimmy?

I played around with one at Guitar Center several months ago, it was a good time.

I have one of these myself on my worship/Christian contemporary music board for keyboardy stuff. Love it to death. Don't know if you remember my earlier thread (like, early in the decade  Facepalm) about modding it? I still haven't gotten around to it but I was going to change the switch the the same kind you find in the TC Electronic pedals (Nova Delay, Nova Modulator, Nova Reverb...) so I don't get a loud-as-hell click every time I press the pedal. Get's really annoying for myself and the audience if I'm using the pedal a lot.

Haha! As it happens, I made a recording with it and had hell trying (and failing) to get rid of the clicks.

£78. I cringed when handing over the money, but I needed the pedal and more or less the only thing I spend money on is food and travel. Getting myself a couple of treats here and there is a good thing right?
