H&K Metal Tones

I just uploaded this last night to show the metal tones I can get out of the Switchblade 50 alone, no Tube Screamer, no EQ, no boost, just a guitar into the amp and recorded with a Senn e609 in to Reaper. It is a loop playing over and over, but I change the preset on every measure. I added the drums for context. No bass so we can hear the amp better.

I may label each preset later so people can tell me which do they like best. Also, I am hoping to turn that riff into a complete song, soon.

Yep!

Reverb, Delay, Phaser, Flanger and Chorus. This is what confuses some people into thinking this is a modelling amp or that it is solid state. It is a 100% 50 watt 4 channel tube amp. It sounds much better in person and I just suck at recording with a mic.

What I haven't figured out how to do with this amp is to get low gain metal tones. I have heard some bands that use very low gain and it sounds so warm and gritty, but it seems I cannot get there from here.

HK makes great stuff.  I used to have a thing called a "Metal Shredder" by them and it was great, wish I still had it.
