ok so I don't have a lot of room in my house without some of my stuff looking cluttered. I am thinking to leave my Peavey Vypyr 30 and sampera pedal board in the garage. Is this a really bad idea? My washer and dryer are in there. If not I'll see if I can sell it. The only real reason I am keeping it is that it's 30 watts whereas my main amp is a black star ht-5 and that may not be loud enough to jam with drummer.

Not a good idea. Heat and moisture will contribute to damages unless your garage is climate controlled.

There’s no such thing as Gear clutter ... It’s either guitar gear , or MORE guitar gear ...  Cheesy    Too much gear is always appreciated ...  Rawk1    And as the way things go , if you sell it , then you’ll need it as all manner of opportunities will open up to jam with a drummer ...  Facepalm
Dude , you can only be hiding it from a woman , right ?   Shocked

Ah, GPW.  As eloquent as ever and saying better than I could what was on both our minds  Cool

It's probably a good idea to keep it.  You're likely to want it later.  But keeping it in the garage is not a good idea due to reasons OysterBoy stated. Why can't you box it up and put it away somewhere, or put something else in the garage?  Musical instruments should always be preserved in the home.

Oh, and if you decorate your home with it by leaving it out and ready to use you'll get more out of it.  Just make sure you keep the cables neat and the exterior clean and the ladies won't mind.

Just a thought ... If you really HAD to store it in some place like this , you (theoretically) could wrap it up really well in one of those huge Heavy Duty (thick) contractor bags , possibly with a desiccant inside .. Sealed well ...Plausible ... Huh
