I spied me a sweet looking Jackson dinky at a local music shop but I can't identify it. It plays very well and sounds phenomenal unplugged, though I didn't have a chance to plug it into anything. I want to identify it to see if the price they're asking is ball park or way out there. I can't seem to find the right model though.. It's a bolt on neck, 2x humbuckers (both marked Seymour Duncan), tune-o-matic, string through body with a reverse headstock. The body is a yellowish-goldish color with flaming in it. Shark fin inlays. Help me help me!

Sounds like it could be American. Are they duncan's or are they duncan designed? Are the sharkfins plastic or mother of pearl? Is there mother of pearl binding on the neck? Is the fretboard rosewood or ebony? Does is say Jackson USA on the headstock?
Import dinky's go for $400-$700 street, but a USA DK1 sells for much, much more with a current retail of $3199.95

The pickups said "Seymour Duncan" on them. Not "Duncan Designed." No binding. I'm 90% sure the fretboard is rosewood. I don't remember if it said "Jackson USA" or just "Jackson" on the headstock though i'm leaning heavily towards the latter.
It looks like a DK2T but I can't find any DK2T's that are gold colored or have a reverse headstock.
It also had a weird half circle molding carved into the back of the body, kind of around the neck. I'm not sure if that's a Dinky thing in general or will help shed some light on this.
We're not talking $400-700 here. The tag said $200.
I'm torn because its so much guitar for so little money but I already have 4 electrics, 2 acoustics, a bass and a uke.

You can never have too many guitars! I was thinking the same thing... I'm thinking I might take one of my electrics and some pickups and stuff I have lying around and see if they'd do a trade or at least give me some store credit towards it. I mean its stuff i've been meaning to get rid of anyway i'd just be killing two birds with one stone so to speak. And sort of swapping an electric that I never play for a new one that i'll likely play the crap out of. Do music shops usually do that sort of thing?

All music stores that I do business at do. I've traded in several guitars, amps, and effects to get that new axe! I'm sure they would take pickups and hardware if they had any idea what they were doing. Just make sure you get someone that knows what they're doing. The other day I walked in to my local music store and asked the lady behind the desk if they had any fret wire. Fret what? She says. No we don't have anything like that. I walked over to where they sold the pickguards, found a 24 pack of pre cut Fender fret wire in plain sight, shook my head, and walked out.

Well I actually have 2 guitars I was thinking of getting rid of. I have a Harmony electric that isn't worth but maybe $50 and a Les Paul copy thats maybe worth $150. Then I have 2 EMG HZ pickups that are probably worth about $25 each that I was thinking of taking with me. I think i'd feel kind of bad dropping all this stuff on their doorstep and still having to pay extra to get that guitar. Unless they're going to give me $200 for all my stuff and make me pay tax on the new guitar, which would be okay I guess. Gotta feed the machine.

If the pickups are duncans, then the $200 price tag is pretty good in itself, it could be someone did some modifying to a lower end model to make it better...

I called the store this morning for details on their buy/sell/trade system. He said their buyer will be there on Monday not isn't there today. They're closed tomorrow so as long as no one buys it today I should be good.
He said that they buy used guitars but not pickups or other parts. I might take them in to see if I can 'throw them in' on the side in case he wont give me what I want for the guitars. According to him I can bring my stuff in and they'll assess it and tell me what they'll give me for it and then I can put that towards the other guitar if I want.
I'd be happy leaving both guitars there and walking out with the Jackson, personally. Everything i've read seems to point to it being a $400-700 guitar and its in really good shape aside from needing some new strings.

Its a Harmony 2814. http://harmony.demont.net/model.php?id=890Mine is red but my first electric was a black one. I bought this one on a whim because I was GASing for the old days and thought I could have a cool random guitar to confuse people with. Unfortunately it plays like crap and sounds even worse. I think I played it for like 15 minutes after I finished fixing it up after I bought it and its sat in the closet since then. I've been meaning to rid myself of it for some time...

Don't get me wrong that old 2814 I had when I first started was a great guitar until I was able to get something else. It's all I had at the time. Setting it next to my Les Paul or Roadstar II nowadays... It's not even really playable. This one actually plays better than the first one I had too. The action on the first one was so bad you could turn it around and shoot arrows at cowboys with it...
