Wow that good? I mean, i saw Megadeth, Slayer, Metallica (3 times), Neil Young, Ozzy, Black Label Society... So like the same bands you saw, and if he's that good to top over them, it's gonna be amazing!
Yep it was that good, that's not an exaggeration either.
The first time I saw him I went on a recommendation from a jazz guitarist my brother and I trained with for a couple of months. I didn't know a lot about Tommy except that he did a great cover of Classical Gas that I had seen on YouTube.
My mouth was literally hanging open through most of the show. My brother and I kept looking at each other in disbelief. Words cannot do it the slightest hint of justice.

How does one get good enough at guitar to own so many, with such limited exposure to.....?......I was going to say "all the good music and musicians", but I guess that would be a little ethnocentric. But, really.........??
I don't know how he does it honestly. I assume an absurd amount of practice and God given talent just about sums it up.

I tried practicizing (don't know if it's rightly said here) that song "Classical Gas (what does that mean?), it's such a pain. I guess it'd take months (if not years) for me to play something "sounding a bit like it". All i managed to play correctly was the little melody that does downwards on the 1E string that he repeats several times throughout the song (and that sounds so good).
But i noticed he's using a thumb-pick (don't know the name of those picks), and i never used it before, so i'll have to learn MUCH before being able to play a descent rythm line.
BTW: i didn't find any tabs for "Big Love" by Lindsey Buckingham. I know a good guitar player should be able to play a song he listens to, but i'm not a good guitar player
, i'm just learning and borrowing 90% of my bro's guitars (that's why i can play with several brands).

Awesome! and welcome to the forum.
Don't worry, you're not the only non native speaker here. What is your native language?

Hi, I'm Eric and I'm an alco.... ergh, wrong group!
A member over at the nighthawk forums pointed me this direction after I posted about a guitar build that I'm doing...
I currently have an Ibanez SA series and an Ovation Celebrity. I play through a Fender amp with a crybaby and a DOD overdrive. There are quite a few pedals that I'd like to pick up at some point but haven't justified spending the cash yet.
I'm building a bit of a les paul clone using a golden gate neck and solidworks for the design work and layout.
Here's a couple rendering pictures.
I carved out the headstock based loosely on an ibanez but with a bit more shape to it.
Here are my templates. I drew it up in solidworks and printed them off in 100% scale before gluing it to some 1/2" plywood
